If anyone is around Paihia on a Sunday afternoon looking for a place to have a quiet drink,we have selected the Toast Bar as a central location to meet after 3.00pm. on a two weekly basis.
Friday the 26th January saw many of the Bay’s more fabulous people enjoying themselves at the 70’s party on board the good ship ‘Sugar Boat’ moored for the evening in The Waitangi River estuary. In all there were nearly forty of us making the most of a lovely summers evening and watching the moon casting a beautiful reflection on the waters. Very romantic!! As with all ‘Gay in the Bay’ events new members were welcomed by the seasoned veterans, there was much chatting and socializing and then of course there was the dancing. The Poop deck proved popular with those who wanted to watch the stars and the dance floor was big enough to have accommodated those of us who were not able to be there. Roll on 25th February for our ‘Day at the Beach’ sure to be another great Gay in the Bay success. Be sure to keep your social calendar clear.
