Christmas Party December 2007


Yet again the weather did it’s worse and had been doing so solidly for four days. The land was soggy and the mist thick but there is nothing that will stop the fabulous gays of this fabulous Bay from enjoying themselves.

Paula’s cowshed at Okaihau was again the venue where we could let our hair down, have a thoroughly fun time and catch up with friends old and young and new.
Not only did Paula provide the Cowshed she also reared the lamb, which was succulently transformed into some of the meat at the buffet.

Luscious Lola made an appearance but we all did sadly miss Father Christmas.

Geoff did some truly intrusive photography. The results will be used in a ‘Bums and Boobs’ Competition. Our Webmistress will create the competition and hopefully ‘The Committee’ will find a way of awarding a prize or two. The Best Boobs, The Best Bum.

As usual those splendid people of ‘The Committee’ did a wonderful job pulling it all together. We, the rest of the boys and girls of Gay in the Bay, express our appreciation and thanks for a great job well done.

Well, as we move onwards into 2008 your Rainbow Reporter wishes each and every one of you a really Gay Christmas and a Camp New Year. Much fun, fellowship and a year full of Gay in the Bay frolic’s.

FA LA LA LA LA ........XMAS DANCE PARTY 2007

In the beginning there was a humble barn in Okaihau.... then there were the renovations (decked with bells and holly)...now a once humble barn is the ultimate dance party space... come all ye faithful queers and share an amazing dance experience with awesome music and your gay in the bay brothers and sisters.. An offering of food would be humbly enjoyed.. Santa and Wiseman enter free ..................last years Xmas dance party was amazing (click here) lets make this one even better. If anyone has anything that they would like to donate to GITB for the Barn we would be most appreciative. The Barn is improving every time we hold a function, however, there are a few items that we still need. Such as, outdoor tables, outdoor chairs, outdoor heaters and cutlery/crockery/mugs. We are also trying to save to purchase our own PA system to get our parties really rockin, so if anyone would like to make a donation to GITB, please do not hesitate to click the little donation button on the front page, every little bit helps and we would be most grateful :-)
