What were the gay boys and girls of the Bay doing in April? Having a really relaxing Sunday Brunch that’s what. Café Blue in Kerikeri did not know what hit them when so many of the Bay’s more fantastic people rolled out of bed and rocked up for some tantalising food and great company. It was a great time to catch up with so many that had been so busy during the summer. Checking up on those who have been sorting out there Passports, immigration status and achieving their Citizenship of this lovely country we call home. Congratulations to Chris. He is now a fully-fledged Kiwi.
Hearing stories of daring on the high seas. Joy is on her return to NZ with her new boat. Its 52 Feet WIDE this thing. Rumour has it she is paying to have the Panama canal widened so she can get it through. Presently in the Bahamas, having just dealt with a bad case of crew mutiny. Still her NZ crewmember is looking after her and she should be back amongst us happy throng on schedule.
Meeting yet more new friends into our fold. Amongst these were girls from Whangarei, and a nice gay boy from Whangaroa. Welcome one and all. We look forward to seeing more of you. Kris, Donna’s son did a manful job now he is working for Café Blue. If he can deal with our gang he will cope with anything. Finally check out the pictures of Cory. Bills dog. He was put on a diet (see pictures in previous GITB events to see the before version) and we now have the new slimline pooch. Sorry about that I was lying; Cory is still on his diet but these are impostors who came along trying to impersonate him and failed. The boys and girls of the committee did a grand job of organising a raffle, even if Geoff did win the makeover at Ka’s beauty parlor. Bet Ka can’t put a portrait on that canvass!! Next we are off to the flicks and a meal at Café Cinema on 12th May. See you all there.
