The day was dark and stormy the billy goat was blind,he bumped into a barb-wired fence as scratched his never u mind.
Well that best describes the weather for yet another gitb winter function. But hey the hearty were there battling the elements.Luckily the heaters were on , the barn was warm Angie and paula had set up the area like a picture theatre you would see in the west, rows of hay bales. on our arrival jackie and bill were engolved in a game of pool on the new clubs asset ,more popular than the darts.
The others were enjoying the simple but practical lunch of hot home made veg soup ,rolls hot scones and a tasty slice.
The first of the movies started ( Kinky Boots)and a giggle was often heard from our guest from the USA, Bob. Welcome from us all in the club and hope to see you on your next visit.The german princess tested gumboots for the first time in NZ,and no doubt they will be worn a few more times with the weather we are experiencing after the 1st movie we again enjoyed more hot soup to warm the inners for the 2nd movie (Better than Chocolate)One for the girls and eye opening for the boys
Our projectionists Donna and Vanessa even allowed cell phones in the theatre but only a call from Brian checking to see that John had made it.Half way through time out was required as the rain was so heavy we could not hear the sound due to the heavy rain.
But hey the day was enjoyed by all that were there, so nice to spent it with friends from the club, on such a miserable day.
