It was a slightly windy & cool day that greeted our happy little gang as we gathered in Paihia at the start of the 3rd annual Gay in the Bay car rally. In fact the weather was just about perfect to stop us all getting hot under the collar as we set off trying to solve the clues and follow the trail.
No domestic situations were reported even though some of us did not take the shortest possible route to the picnic at the end of the run.
En-route we diced with parasailing, steam trains, singing our hearts out at a small town’s ‘City Square’, said ‘Hi’ to Debbie and chatted up the lovely lady in the dairy. Not to mention touring the airport and counting God knows how many Coke bottles.
Nobody got lost and we all had a great time thanks as usual to the wonderful organization of Jo and Jackie.
